Its based on events that where all *documented* not even with the same people or the same time not even any videos so i guess you can say its based on reports of people having these events happen >.<

it is based on the real thing the real footage they reacted everything that was in the footage << the real one! because the family probably didn't want to show the real footage so thats why its call reenactment duhhhhhhhhh
